Yucaipa, & Oak Glen
Years ago, Yucaipa City Hall asked me
to help them show the town better. This is my hometown, and I wanted to show people they didn't have to travel extensively to find beauty or things to do. It's always been there.
Early Fall Sunset
Late Summer Foliage near Zanja Peak
Enjoying the view
That's my town.
Mom & Daughter
Nature not only provides beauty, but it tends to draw us closer to one another.
Yucaipa Sunrise
Yes, it's true. Incredible sunrises can happen in more places than the beach or the mountains.
Spring Sunrise
The layers, the colors, the fog. This is the essence of Crafton Hills on a Spring morning.
Wildflowers
Considered a weed in my yard, it's the same flower that makes these hills beautiful in the Spring. Context man.
Storm Clearing
It was freezing. Fog was everywhere...then it cleared. Easily the most impressive sunrise I've seen on San Bernardino Peak.
Oak Knoll Park
Early Fall colors grace the trees near Los Rios Rancho.
Pendleton Creek
After a week of heavy rains, creeks begin to flow around Yucaipa completely transforming parts of the town.
Not Just for Hiking
Mountain biking along Zanja's ridge in the Crafton hills.
El Dorado Ranch
Boasting 334-acres, horseback riding is a must.
Spring Blooms
For a month or so in Spring, Crafton hills' bushes become vibrant with color.
Summer time
Our hills change with the seasons. The grasses may be brown and dry, but still beautiful.
Mt Baldy Sunrise
There is a special kind of light on Baldy on November mornings. An intense version of the earth's shadow.
San Bernardino Peak Moment
I literally saw this mountain for like 2 minutes before she was engulfed by the fog. It's all about those rare moments.
San Bernardino Peak Sunrise
A day after a winter storm. I was nearly late to work waiting for SB peak to show 'er face.
Hiking near Zanja Peak
Before drones, we actually had to hike to the top of something.
Crafton Hills Sunset
4th of July sunset overlooking Redlands & Mentone. Firework show started early for me.
Crafton Hills Sunrise
Sunrise over Yucaipa
Oak Glen
Autumn colors against the Yucaipa Ridge. Near Los Rios Rancho.
Yucaipa Uptown
The tree & The man
During this shot, a truck stopped in the middle of the roundabout and a man yelled "Hey Photographers! F*** you!." No joke.
Roundabouts
For better traffic-flow, the city replaced the signal lights with traffic circles.
Lighting
This made walking & driving Yucaipa blvd a lot more enjoyable at night.
Yucaipa Blvd
Intersection of Yucaipa Blvd. & California St.
Banners
Along with new lighting posts, the city puts up relavent banners to inform the people of recent events, etc.
Benches & paving
How did that guy take a picture of himself? He got skills. Mad skills.
